Ever wonder what goes into a project plan? Is Project Management a lot of paperwork that just takes up time you don’t have? This interactive session will answer those questions as well as help you develop a re-usable scope diagram that can be used at the start of a learning project. You will also receive templates that will assist in building a project charter. Please join us!

Nadine Martin is a has-been. She has been an automobile insurance adjuster, trial preparation assistant for the Manhattan and Bronx District Attorneys, a rock climbing and backpacking salesperson, a member of the US Women’s Judo Team, a programmer, a technology training manager for Northeast Utilities (a New England based utility company), the IS Learning Manager for LL Bean, President of the Hartford Area Trainers, a trainer/evaluator for ski and toboggan for Southern Vermont Region of National Ski Patrol. She is currently the advisor for instructor development for the Eastern Division of the National Ski Patrol as well as a certified member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America, the holder of a National number of recognition from the National Ski Patrol and an independent consultant. She is passionate about learning and helping people to use their talents. Her favorite saying is: “Who is the boss of you?”
Nadine works with Fortune 500 companies and national training companies, helping them to develop and deliver learning that is engaging and fun while ensuring that learning is taking place. She coaches trainers to help them to incorporate these concepts into their events. Nadine has been noted as being very effective with teams and team building, learning design and delivery and utilizing technology to assist with learning. All of these efforts are directed at helping companies realize their goals while improving business results.
Some of the topics that Nadine has facilitated include Project Management for Learning Professionals, Blended Learning, Train the Trainer and Facilitation Skills.
Nadine’s favorite book is “Orbiting the Giant Hairball” by Gordon MacKenzie . Other favorites are “The Accelerated Learning Field Guide” by Lou Russell; “Tuesdays with Morrie” by Mitch Albom and just about anything that involves history. Her favorite movie is “Dead Poet’s Society” which offers wonderful examples of using the accelerated learning method without using the name of that method!
Nadine has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Science degree in Secondary Education from the State University of New York at Cortland.
Registration required by the end of day Wednesday prior to the event.
Weather Policy
: In the event of bad weather, if the Falmouth schools are closed, the event will be cancelled.
