“A New Way to Build a Productive Mindset:
The Positive Intelligence Coaching Model”
Are you still getting in your own way? Many of us are. Particularly when grappling with the accelerated pace of change and the stresses that accompany it, we may find ourselves resorting to negative patterns of behavior that do not serve us, either personally or professionally.
The ATD Talent Development Capability Model describes coaching as “a discipline and practice that is an essential capability for any talent development professional as it has the power to catalyze breakthroughs to enhance individual, team, and organizational performance.”
In this highly interactive online session, Kym Dakin offers trainers and learning professionals a new way to get curious about how employees get in their own way, and what we might be able to do about it via the Positive Intelligence coaching model.
Positive Intelligence (PQ) is a system of intentional, proactive change. It starts with the assurance that we don't need to be "fixed", but rather that our mindset gets habitually hijacked by our internal critic (The Judge) and 9 different saboteurs. These energies are rooted in some of our best qualities, and they came to our defense during childhood, but as we grow up and out into the world, their influence becomes problematic. That's why we need to strengthen our 5 Sage muscles: Empathy, Curiosity, Innovation, Navigation and Action in order to reduce the influence of our internal Judge and saboteurs.
The PQ methodology has been tested and researched with over 500,000 participants from 50 countries, it has been implemented in dozens of Fortune 500 companies. The Founder, Shirzad Chamine, won a multi-million dollar grant to supply coaches with the necessary training to bring it forward into their practice - at significantly reduced rates to their participants.
Learning Objectives:
• Participants will be introduced to a simplified framework and common operating system for personal and professional development.
• Review the four areas of research that form the foundation of the model.
• Retain a set of specific saboteurs that impede their own personal and professional progress, as well as the Sage powers that can neutralize them.
• Experience one of the innovative Sage games in small group breakout sessions with takeaway tools for team experience beyond this session.
Those planning to attend will want to take the very brief (and intriguing!) Saboteur Assessment to determine their top 3 saboteurs prior to March 21st.
