Value of Certification
Based upon the ATD Capability Model, CPTD is an esteemed credential provided to talent development professionals who successfully complete the requirement. The preparation is an intense process that takes several months and has many benefits:
-
Build and validate talent development skills
-
Differentiate yourself in a competitive market
-
Broaden your career opportunities
-
Join an elite professional community
The CPTD exam is grounded in the ATD Talent Development Capability Model and covers a subset of knowledge and skills and focuses on the application of knowledge and decision making.
The CPTD is a professional certification for Talent Development professionals with at least five years of experience. It is broad and measures a professional's knowledge and skill application across the breadth of talent development capabilities.
Successful CPTDs report that the process of studying and getting their CPTD designation was a tremendous growth opportunity, allowing them to both learn and give back to the profession, and made a positive impact on their careers.
