Including Talent in Strategic Planning- how Appreciative Inquiry can support the generation of positive, collaborative outcomes

PROGRAM

Sustainable and effective solutions often arise through collaboration and input from those most affected by the problems, i.e. those with lived experience. This workshop will explore Appreciative Inquiry as an approach to help leaders promote solutions that are motivating, future oriented, and inclusive. Drawing on experiences from Covid-19, Systemic Inequity and the Climate Crisis, participants will utilize components of the Appreciative Inquiry framework to learn how to be generative and engage this type of approach with teams and clients.

In ATD's new Capability Model, this presentation will help you with Impacting organizational capability and develop professional capability.

OUR PRESENTER

Derek Ahl

Derek Ahl holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and specializes in organizational behavior, strategic thinking and leadership development. He regularly supports senior leadership through consultations, executive coaching, customized instructional design & collaborative ventures to promote mindful performance across organizations. He is known for facilitating tactical engagements such as board retreats, longitudinal cohorts and project implementation. Derek also focuses on sustainability, resilience and systems thinking to engage leaders in maximizing opportunities to respond to the changing climate and global environment in meaningful ways.
