How do we measure success? Is it the achievement of a single goal, the efficiencies realized from a refined process, or perhaps the output of innovative collaboration?

The answer lies in the eye of each uniquely human beholder, who brings to the table a distinct set of values, strengths, and preferences. While some intuit and nurture their team’s dynamic, others quickly perceive process efficiencies, while still others focus squarely on goal achievement. So which style is right? All and none. They are deeply interdependent.

In an interactive learning workshop, we will explore these ‘Dimensions of Success’ for both individuals and teams, discovering strategies to recalibrate individual and team behaviors to align a balanced approach to teamwork.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

During this short program, Outward Bound Professional will employ its proven Action Learning Cycle – Do, Reflect, Develop, & Test (then Repeat) – to inspire participants to think and act differently, all while examining performance and behaviors through a ‘Dimensions of Success’ lens. First, participants will assess the symbiotic factors that contribute to goal achievement and approaches to leadership. Using a real-life and relatable example, we will identify the factors we individually favor. In a series of interactive experiential learning exercises, the participants will then put the dimensions of success to practice, using after-action reviews to evaluate the micro successes and failures experienced in the process in order to develop and test plans for improvement.

Participants will take away a simple but effective model they may use to define success by its complex, intersecting, and more often overlooked components.
