Leadership From Every Seat

Does your organization see every employee as a leader? If so, does it provide leadership development opportunities to front-line employees, or only to the managerial class?

PROGRAM

This interactive workshop walks participants through the philosophy behind, and implementation of, a leadership development program created at the University of New England which embraces “leadership from every seat.” Participants will work collaboratively to brainstorm approaches that could create a similar program for their organization.

Learning Goals:

• Develop scalable leadership development programs
• Adapt existing leadership development programs to a scalable format
• Facilitate coaching and mentoring at every supervisory level to support leadership development

 

OUR PRESENTER

Richard E. Parent, Ph. D.

Richard E. Parent, Ph.D., is the Director of Assessment for the University of New England’s online College of Graduate and Professional Studies. In addition to providing strategic leadership to the College and University on educational assessment and effectiveness, he has successfully led its team of instructional designers and assessment specialists who collaborate with faculty and other subject matter experts to design and build all of the graduate, competency-based, and undergraduate courses UNE offers in its fully-online programs.
