That is when it is especially helpful to have depth and breadth in our resources, which the Maine Chapter of ATD has in spades!
Our scheduled speaker for the November meeting, who planned to present on Virtual Teams, has had to reschedule for after the New Year, but Katie Vaillancourt, our ATD National Advisor for Chapters in New England, has agreed to step in to offer a workshop on Managing Conflict!
Conflict is natural and in many cases inevitable. It is important to understand how people handle conflict and under what circumstances conflict can be beneficial. Conflict can be healthy. Over time there has been a shift in thinking that conflict has to be eliminated or always resolved to thinking that conflict can be managed to create collaboration. It is important to know how people handle conflict. If conflict is well managed it can lead to superior results in our business. Conflict can be beneficial.
