Where does miscommunication originate? Have we ever heard someone say “I thought I was clear, what just happened?” How do our filters interfere with our communication? Business depends on good relationships and good relationships start with initial conversation so what happens if we are uncomfortable and at a loss for words in that initial conversation?
We’ll explore various avenues of communication with Shirlie Broomfield, Dale Carnegie Training of Maine. Prepare to have fun while we: * Understand the influence of filters on the communication process * Improve communication by effectively listening and asking questions * Develop productive business conversation skills
About Our Presenter:
Shirlie has been with Dale Carnegie for 12 1/2 years. She is the Customer Care Manager for both internal and external communications. She assists individuals and companies with identifying their goals and training needs and finding solutions to those needs. Her responsibilities include sales management, marketing, customer service and communication. She also holds another title of Trainer. Shirlie has been the Trainer of the Year in Maine for the past 2 years (2008 and 2009). She is certified for the Dale Carnegie Course in Effective Communications and Human Relations as well as the teen program called Generation Next.
